Encouraging Responsible Reporting

The Oba Fidipote Royal Descendants Foundation is committed to ethical conduct, responsible governance, and the proper use of charitable resources.

We encourage directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and other individuals associated with the Foundation to report suspected misconduct or serious violations of law or organisational policy.

What Should Be Reported?

Concerns may include:

• Suspected fraud or financial misconduct.
• Theft or misuse of charitable funds.
• Falsification of organisational records.
• Undisclosed conflicts of interest.
• Serious violations of Foundation policies.
• Abuse of authority.
• Other suspected unlawful or unethical conduct.

Reports should be made honestly and in good faith.

How to Report a Concern

Concerns may be submitted through the following designated channels:

Where a concern involves the person normally responsible for receiving reports, it should be directed to another appropriate and independent authority within the Foundation.

Confidentiality

The Foundation will seek to handle reports discreetly and limit access to information to those who need it to review and address the concern.

Complete confidentiality or anonymity cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance, particularly where disclosure is required by law or necessary for a fair investigation.

Protection Against Retaliation

Retaliation against an individual for making a good-faith report or participating in an authorised investigation is prohibited under this policy, subject to applicable law.

Knowingly making a false accusation may be addressed under applicable organisational procedures.

Review and Investigation

Reports should be reviewed promptly and impartially. Where appropriate, the Foundation may appoint an independent person to investigate the concern and recommend corrective action.
